Department of Pharmacognosy :
Departmental activities are concentrated in following areas -
Study of collection, identification and authentication of herbal materials with
     • Herbal Formulation development- Through utilization of Indigenous plant extract of Chhattisgarh.
     • well defined botanical and Phytochemical characteristics are carried out.
     • Isolation of Chemical entities and testing them for various therapeutic areas.
     • Phytochemical analysis through Modern sophisticated Instruments viz. HPTLC,HPLC,FTIR,UV etc.
     • Study and development of iissue/cell cultures.
     • Development of medical plant garden.
     • Study various evaluating methods for evaluating exceed drugs, by studying its morphological, microsopical, Chemical,        Physical and Biological characters.

Department Of Pharmacology :
Department of Pharmacology is having fully equipped lab and Preparation room. The equipments are as per the PCI and AICTE Norms.
Apart from the regular syllabus Practical’s students are also trained for small projects such as screening of drugs.
Students are also made familiar with Computer based Pharmacology Practical. Students were well trained for various Pharmacological aspects of novel drugs which will help them in future Pharmacy Practice.Handling of animals their maintenance is thought to develop confidence in further research work.
